Invitation to RPS CEO and President – Royal College Ambition Discussion

,

After the RPS response to the GHP open letter regarding RPS proposals to become a Royal College, we have invited RPS CEO and/or president to join us at our next or future council meeting.

Dear Claire and Paul,

Thank you for your recent response to our open letter concerning the Royal Pharmaceutical Society’s (RPS) proposed ambition to become a Royal College. We welcome your invitation to engage in constructive dialogue with the Guild of Healthcare Pharmacists regarding this significant constitutional change and its potential implications for all in the profession, regardless of RPS affiliation.

To ensure a comprehensive understanding is reached in response to our members significant questions, we would like to formally invite you both, as CEO and RPS president respectively, to attend our upcoming council meeting for a 30 minute Q&A slot. The meeting will be held 14th November and the slot is proposed for 14:00-14:30. This will provide an opportunity for a constructive discussion to continue before we issue further messaging to our membership. If attendance to this isn’t possible please indicate availability for the coming weeks.

We believe that collaborative dialogue is essential in shaping the future of our profession and we look forward to welcoming you to our next council meeting.

Yours sincerely,

Rob Connah (on behalf of GHP Executive Council)

President, Guild of Healthcare Pharmacists
